About Sophia Bass: Given the monikers “Wunderkind” and “bold composer” by her mentor, Hollywood film composer Roger Neill, Sophia J. Bass aspires to establish a career with international scope as a film and concert composer and educator. With an ethnomusicology background that informs her creative work, she believes that having a breadth of knowledge across cultures is the key to developing her artistic sensibility which, in turn, will enable her to compose for any story in any context, and to reflect the sonic wealth of the world in her music. Bass is a 2020 graduate of Oberlin College and has experience writing film and chamber music and has produced original works for albums.
