November 15 The first in our Sunday Series, Soundscapes is a serenade of 20th century neo-classical works that act as a bridge to a 21st century piece by composer Nicky Sohn, featuring Bokyung Byun on guitar. Sohn’s Guitar Concerto No. 1, originally premiered with the Albany Symphony to sold out audiences, is sure to please. This performance also includes a Sinfonia side-by-side featuring the talented student musicians of the Michigan Philharmonic Youth Orchestra.

A holiday tradition continues, as we feature two performances of our festive, family-friendly yuletide concert. Journey through the season as we celebrate Hanukah, Kwanza, the winter solstice and Christmas. Of course, no Holiday Pops! would be complete without a rousing sing-along and a joyous rendition of Handel’s Hallelujah Chorus. Thursday night will feature members of Plymouth’s Harmony Singers and the Plymouth Chancel choir. Friday night will feature students from the P-CEP Symphony Orchestra and Festival Singers.
