Can I exchange my tickets?
Season subscribers may exchange tickets for another Michigan Philharmonic concert. Please give us a call at 734.451.2112 and we will be happy to assist you.
Are group rates available?
Yes, definitely. We encourage groups to attend our concerts and special rates are available for groups of 10 or more. Please call 734.451.2112 for further details.
What if I lose my tickets?
If your tickets get misplaced, please call our office at 734.451.2112. This will allow us to confirm your ticket purchase and issue replacement tickets as needed.
Can I buy a gift certificate?
Yes! Share your love for music with your loved ones. Please call the office at 734.451.2112.
Will Call?
If you purchase tickets less than a week prior to the concert, we will automatically hold your tickets at “Will Call”.
Can I donate my Ticket?
Ticket holders unable to use or exchange their tickets are encouraged to donate their tickets. The Michigan Philharmonic will ensure that a Youth Orchestra member or High School Arts Academy student will use every ticket donated. Please give us a call as soon as you are able to at 734.451.2112.
When should I arrive?
Please allow yourself 30 to 40 minutes prior to the concert start time. A few of our concerts will have a pre-concert talk. Please check your tickets to verify all start times. If in doubt, don’t hesitate to contact the office at 734.451.2112.
What if I arrive late for my concert?
In the event that you arrive late, please refrain from entering the hall until an usher or house manager directs you to do so. Latecomers will be seated during performance pauses and at intermission by an usher or house manager.
What should I wear? Is there a dress code?
The Michigan Philharmonic does not have a dress code for performances. Dress according to your comfort as well as the venues we are performing in. It is more important for us that you have a great experience.
When should I clap?
Since the Michigan Philharmonic performs a variety of orchestral music, specializing in contemporary and diverse composers, the traditional movements are not as easy to perceive, so just take your queue from the conductor … and clap to your heart’s content!
Can I use my electronic devices?
All cell phones, and electronic devices should be silenced at the start of the performance. We’d love for you to share your concert experience on social media prior to the concert, during intermission and after the concert; – take a photo at our Michigan Phil photo banner and share – be sure to link us @michiganphil
How long is a typical performance?
Michigan Philharmonic concerts are under 2 hours which includes a 15- minute intermission. However, program length varies, and you can always call our office at 734.451.2112 about a specific concert.
Special Needs Access?
Most of the venues that the Michigan Philharmonic performs in are accessible to all. Please give us a call at 734.451.2112 to ensure your selected concert venue suits your needs.
Can I bring my children?
We encourage the love of orchestral music and appropriate behavior in our young audience members and welcome children to attend our concerts, especially our family-oriented performances. Please note that children must be supervised by an adult, and every child must have a ticket, regardless of age.
